As a Group Benefits professional with an underwriting and technical consulting background, Tom is recognized for effective communication, problem solving and risk analysis abilities with a client focused approach. He enjoys the rewards gained in a collaborative team based environment.
He is responsible for analyzing benefit data to evaluate the performance of employee benefit programs, measuring these results against industry standards and plan sponsor goals, and making sound underwriting judgments to determine appropriate recommendations.
Tom began his career with a Canadian insurer over 20 years ago. He has developed strong industry knowledge through various roles in the group benefits industry. Most recently he held an underwriting role with a national insurer. Prior to that he worked with a national consulting company where he managed the technical aspects of an in-force block of business in excess of $18 million.
In his spare time Tom enjoys bicycling, kayaking and exploring different parts of the province.
